Shannon Renee Ziss, 41, passed away surrounded by loving family and friends Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

She was born June 19, 1984, in Findlay, Ohio.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Duane and Beth Ziss; her uncle, David VanAtta; aunts, Darlene (Doug) Perkins and Debra Chamberlin; cousins, Allison Perkins, Alissa Perkins and Stephanie Glaudel; and fur babies, Daisy and Bear.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Murvin and Mary Van Atta, and Merlin and Loraina Ziss; and her uncle, David Ziss.

She was a 2002 graduate of Findlay High School and earned an associate of arts degree from Owens Community College.

On November 6, 2010, she married Christopher Gorman and they later divorced.

She had worked as a bookkeeper, customer service professional, and income tax agent. She also helped with the family business, Ziss Custom Glass.

Shannon was very creative. She especially enjoyed photography and liked to experiment with different photographic techniques. I will dearly miss my friend. Half our lives we've supported and been there for each other even if at times we grew a little apart, we always reconnect without skipping a beat. I can not wait to see her again in Paradise

Shannon will be dearly missed by the Spanish speaking friends who came to know and enjoy her friendship in the Findlay Central Spanish Congregation. She inspired others to learn another language and use it! I will miss her cute giggle followed by her contagious smile. Until we meet again in Paradise my dear sweet Shannon. Love, Becky

She was my friend. I think our favorite thing to do was to find new places to eat at. She would learn of a new place and text me, we gotta go try this place! She loved her puppers, and taking pictures of nature. I still have her instagram tags floating across my timeline. She isn't in pain anymore now, and I know I will see her again.
