Scott Feasel Obituary

Scott Allen Feasel

Scott Allen Feasel, 54, of Carey, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at home.

Scott, known as "Weasel" among friends, was born Feb. 14, 1969, in Upper Sandusky, to Ross and Bonnie (Gossman) Feasel. Scott grew up in Carey, graduating from Carey High School in 1988. Scott continued his education throughout life at Millstream Career Center earning a welding certificate and with the Operating Engineers Local 18.

Scott worked at National Lime and Stone for almost 21 years. While there, he met Brenda J. McKinnon. After over a decade of on again and off again flirting and few years of dating, the two were wed Jan. 25, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church by the Rev. William Schultz. In addition to working for National, he operated heavy equipment for Operating Engineers Local 18, including building the I-280 bridge, Ashland Railway, The Shelly Company, Wyandot County Recycling Facility, and Transglobal Door.

Scott and Brenda were blessed and welcomed their son, Logan Scott Feasel, on Dec. 14, 2018. After which, Scott and Logan were inseparable! Scott lived for his son and they would spend countless hours playing with trains on the layout in the garage and watched train videos and trains pass by in the backyard. Scott loved trains so much that he enlisted in a five-week Railroading School sponsored by CSX in Huntington, West Virginia.

Scott and Brenda loved dogs (especially Dobermans) and over the years had several, but Ava and Aries were their first babies. When Scott wasn't watching or playing with his trains with Logan, he could be found in the garage, mowing the yard, or out back with the neighborhood guys.

Scott will be deeply missed by his wife, Brenda Feasel of Carey; beloved son, Logan Feasel of Carey; parents, Ross and Bonnie Feasel of Carey; canine companions, Kona and Havok; and numerous close friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Feasel Cochran in 1989; and grandparents, Louie and Marjorie Gossman and Robert and Mabel Feasel.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, until the time of Scott's service at 3 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home. Ryan Clouse will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home for his son, Logan.

Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Scott's family.
