Scott W. Brooks

Scott Wesley Brooks, 63, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey, Florida.

He was born June 6, 1959, in Findlay, to Carl and Phyllis (Edmiston) Brooks. He was a 1977 graduate of Findlay High School and 1982 graduate of The University of Findlay. He married Leigh Grisier, his college sweetheart, on May 28, 1983. Together, they had a son, Nicholas, and daughter, Alexandria. He loved following each of their many activities. He loved his parents very much. His father, Carl, and his mother, Phyllis, preceded him in death Oct. 10, 2001, and Sept. 3, 2020, respectively.

He enjoyed watching Ohio State football, college basketball, and was an avid fan of his brother Steve's college basketball teams. Scott worked for H. J. Heinz Company, Pittsburgh, Ohio, and Dakota Groves, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Scott was loved and is survived by his family, Leigh, Nicholas (Samantha), and Alexandria; brothers, Ken (Sue) and Steve (Terri); and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service and internment will take place at Hockman Cemetery, McClure, where he will be laid to rest with his mom and dad.
