Roy W. Lasater

Roy W. Lasater, 99, of Findlay, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, August 18, 2025, at The Heritage Estates. Roy was born September 25, 1925, to the Rev. Webster C. and Grace (Reintsma) Lasater in Reed Point, Montana. He married Bonnie Dell Scott, June 30, 1947, and she preceded him in death in 2017.

He is survived by a son, Ronald Lasater of Findlay; two daughters, Shirley (Doug) Harrold of Mt. Blanchard and June Johnson of Oak Harbor; a daughter-in-law, Ann Lasater of Van Buren; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Donald Richard "Rick" Lasater, who passed March 11, 2014; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Lasater, who passed away October 28, 2024; and sisters, Marie Anderson and Ruth D'Arcy.

Roy retired from Marathon Oil Company as an analyst in production accounting for 33 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, R.D. Cole Post No. 3 American Legion, and a volunteer at Blanchard Valley Hospital for many years. He served our country during World War II in the United States Navy, serving on a Navy supply ship.

Roy's life can be characterized by 1 Corinthians 13:4-13: "Love is patient, love is kind."

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Scott Fleming officiating. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Church, or Chopin House, Findlay.
