Ronda Burns Obituary

Ronda Leone Burns

Ronda Leone Burns, 65, of Findlay and formerly of Wabash, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 30, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada.

She was born Oct. 21, 1958, in Wabash, Indiana, to Harold and Marilyn (Gidley) Powell.

Ronda will be sorely missed. She was the glue of her family and she always put family first.

She was a 1976 graduate of Wabash High School. She married Scott Burns on Jan. 7, 1978. She held a membership at Good Hope Methodist Church in Rawson. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family at sports games, county fairs, and yard sales. She was the happiest when holding and loving on her children and grandchildren. In her free time, she and Scott traveled to their kids' homes or to Soaring Eagles Casino. When separated by distance, she had an unique gift of bringing everyone together with love. As a farewell to the people she cared for most, she can be remembered for her usual coined phrase "Bye Love."

Ronda is survived by her husband, Scott Burns; two sons, Wes (Robin) Burns and Blake (Danielle) Burns; daughter, Danielle (Cody) Hancock; and eight grandchildren, Bianka, Makayla, Olivia, Callie, Kenley, Carter, and Daisy, who is expected to arrive in June.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ronda's celebration of life service will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at The Jones Mansion, 313 East Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.

Ronda's funeral will be at McDonald Funeral Homes, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana, 46992. Service times will be announced at a later date.

Preferred memorials can be directed to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, Virginia, 22116.

McDonald Funeral Homes, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, has been trusted with Ronda's final arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear about Ronda. We had such a time when we worked for Lawsons where we met and then had our kids to close together. There is a lot of happy and fun memories while working and then at each others houses. Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the celebration of life for Ronda due to health issues for both of us. I will be thinking of you, Scott, and will be praying for you and the entire family. My deepest condolences.

I still cannot find the words to express my shock at losing my oldest friend, Ronda. So many memories come flooding in to keep your spirit alive. We went through so many things together from living across the street from each other, to horse back riding, to spending nights at each other's houses, to weddings, parties, and funerals. You were just like one of the family. A sister I never had. Thanks for the memories. Until we meet again..Love, Tammy
