Rodney Fellow Obituary
Rodney Paul "Rod" Fellows, 76, of Findlay, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 14, 1947, in Warren, to Paul L. and Marion (Wertman) Fellows. He married Phyllis (Knepper) Miles on Feb. 16, 2012, and she survives.
Rod is also survived by his stepdaughters, Connie Miller of North East, Pennyslvania, Pamela Bissa of McKinney, Texas, Michelle Stahl of Findlay, and Lori Miles of Findlay; cousin, Sharon Breiner of Warren; eight stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; and beloved dog, Otis.
Rod retired in 1999 after 30 years as an American History Teacher in the Findlay City School system, where he was a recipient of the Golden Apple Award. He then worked from 2000-2004 at Aon Consulting and then from 2004-2012 at the Right Thing, Inc.
Rod was a registered umpire for 25 years and was a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and Past President of Findlay Umpires Association. He was active with CISV (Children's International Summer Villages), where he served three terms as Chapter President, National Vice President from 1984-1986, and directed nine summer camps from 1976-1984.
Rod enjoyed traveling, reading, and of course Cleveland Indians/Guardians!
Rod's chapel and graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Pastor Cathy Davis will officiate.
Rod's celebration of life will be 1-4 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
Memorial contributions may be made to Findlay Youth Baseball, www.findlaybaseball.org, or Hancock County Humane Society.
