Robert Leroy Thompson

Robert L. Thompson, 74, of Findlay passed away at 2:16 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Findlay, OH, to the late Leland L. and Carla (Avico) Thompson on October 27, 1947. Robert married Mary Jane Sabo in Findlay on July 8, 2017 and she survives.

Robert is survived by a son Jim (Lori) Thompson; two daughters, Betty (Norman) Hurd and Tina (Dwayne) Edwards, all of Michigan, and three sisters, Shirley (Frank) Muscarella, Cindy (Larry) Ewing and Nancy (Don) Fisher, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 step-children, Wendy (Roy) Foor and Greg (Monica) Fairbanks. He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Thompson and Robert C. Thompson and a step-daughter, Lori Fairbanks.

Robert attended Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan, and later attended Owens Community College. He had many jobs throughout his years including Foreman at High Quality Plastics for 16 years, Direct TV, and later Walmart in the Electronics Department. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Findlay.

Robert's wish was to be cremated. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. Private burial will be in Mt. Blanchard Cemetery.
