Robert Rall Obituary
Robert E. "Long Ball" Rall, 87, of Upper Sandusky, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home in Upper Sandusky.
He was born July 7, 1935, in Upper Sandusky, to Francis and Isabell (Vogel) Rall. Rob married Peggy Jean Steiner on Oct. 20, 1954, at St. Peter's Catholic Church and she survives.
Rob is also survived by his children, Valerie (Don) Schwenning of Upper Sandusky, Mitch (Patty) Rall of Upper Sandusky, Tracy (Julie) Rall of Findlay, and Derek (Mary) Rall of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren, Megan (Oscar) Leiva, Jill Schwenning, Tyler (Beverly) Schwenning, Faith Schwenning, Mike (Kristin) Rall, Brittany (David) Gockley, Brandon Rall, Jeremy Rall, and Sarah (Michael) Bruce; and 13 great-grandchildren, Obed, Ezra, and Judah Leiva, Sam and Storme Maiorano, Eve Dean, Ethan and Everett Schwenning, Josiah Rall, Leah and Daniel Gockley, and Katie and Kendrick Bruce.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Rall; and two sisters, Dorothy Tillett and Alice Smith.
Rob graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1953 and worked at U.S. Commission Company for 31 years. He then went on to serve as custodian at St. Peter's School for 10 years.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church, Upper Sandusky.
Robert's celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at Trinity Evangelical with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Following the service, the family will receive guests.
It was Rob's wish to donate his body to The Ohio State University for medical education and research.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot Memorial or Reignite Youth Missions at Trinity Evangelical and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
