Robert Rainey, 79, of Fostoria, died Oct 3, 2022, in Fostoria. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Bob's funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at St. John's Church, Fostoria.

I had Mr. Rainey as my sixth grade teacher back in the early 70's and he is probably the best and most influential teacher I ever had. I always tried to behave in his class or else I had to face 'Big Bertha'. Anyone of his former students know what I'm talking about.

I will always remember celebrating Bob's birthday or their anniversary at the fair grounds when they did a skit. It was a very fun night with the family and friends celebrating a great family and celebrating Bob and Sue Rainey. It was a pleasure to have served on the Seneca County Fair Board for over 20 years and to get to know Bob and Sue. Bob was treasurer when I was secretary near the end of my years on the fair board.
