Robert J. "Rob" Bear

Robert J. Bear, 75, of North Baltimore, died at 9:40 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born May 3, 1949, in Fostoria to the late Jessie G. and Blanche A. (Winkleman) Bear. He married Cheryl Carr, and they were divorced.

Rob is survived by his son, Rickey Lee (Julie Ann) Bear of North Baltimore; sisters Lucille Thompson and Barbara Bloom; and grandchildren Walter Young, Maranda Young, and Harmon Young.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Albert J. Bear, Edward Bear and Richard Bear; sisters: Glady Baney, Rose Hunt, Rozella Grant, Evelyn Bear, Pearl Bear and Irene Bear.

Rob retired from Smith's Foundry.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore.
