Richard Clark Obituary
Richard Lewis "Dick" Clark Jr., 79, of Arlington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at his residence.
He was born July 8, 1944, in Findlay, to Richard Lewis and Cleona Fern (Houtz) Clark Jr.
Dick was a 1962 graduate of Vanlue High School. Following school, he proudly served as an U.S. Marine in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Joan (Weaver), on June 24, 1966, and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Denise and Gary Snook, Rick and Michele Clark, and Amy and Brent O'Rear; grandchildren, Andrew Snook, Joshua Eatherton, Ethan Snook, Shaye Keller, Eric Eatherton, Evan O'Rear, Olivia Clark, Jackson Clark, Will Clark, and Allison Clark; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Victoria, and Roman Snook and Evie, Sunny, and Alfie Eatherton; siblings, the Rev. Douglas (Carol) Clark, Danny (Donna) Clark, and Patty (the Rev. Kim) Hough; son-in-law, Jerry Eatherton; and lots of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Deanna Eatherton.
After his time in the service, Dick worked as a banker, truck driver delivering cars, and worked for Jackson Township for many years. He was a member of Teamsters Union. More than anything, Dick loved spending time with his family, attending sporting events, school programs, and family reunions. He was a hard worker that loved to garden with his wife, make homemade ice cream, and enjoyed following The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, until the time of Dick's funeral at 2 p.m., all at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 620 North Main Street, Arlington, Ohio, 45814. The Rev. Ken Woode will preside. Burial will follow at Houcktown Cemetery, where full military honors will be performed by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
