Rhoda welcomed me into her family in 1975 and treated me with respect and Christ-like love ever since. Rhoda was very smart and a skilled euchre player, but then Holly would accept nothing less in his partner. She was witty and had an amazing memory. Rhoda was selfless, always focused on serving others. She must have made hundreds of handmade gifts. My favorite gift was a quilted Christmas tree skirt, which I cherish. Rhoda’s face glowed with joy and pride just being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they are her and Holly’s beautiful legacy.
