Randy Lee Snook

Randy Lee Snook, 64, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Carey, passed away at 4:57 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, following a massive heart attack at Toledo ProMedica Hospital.

Randy was born Nov. 25, 1959, in Upper Sandusky, the son of Richard L. and Patricia L (Orians) Snook.

Randy was a 1978 graduate of Carey High School and member of the 1975 state champion football team. Before diabetes took control of his life, Randy worked as a tree trimmer with Glenn Sowers Tree Service in Sycamore. In his early years, Randy was a tremendous bowler, as evidenced by four 300 (perfect) games. He also loved to relax with a fishing pole in his hand whenever he could. After he had his leg amputated due to complications from diabetes, he enjoyed riding around his neighborhood on his scooter chit-chatting with whoever was out. He simply enjoyed people.

He will be missed by his mother, Patricia of Carey; two daughters, Amber (Jamie) Smith of Findlay and Chanelle (Anthony) Fletcher of Carey; four grandchildren, Kiara and Kaylee Beekman and Bryce and Emma Fletcher; brother, Steve (Lisa) Snook of Findlay; and two nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, until the time of Randy's funeral at 12 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. The Rev. Tom Merrill, OFM Conv. will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Council on Aging or Wyandot Memorial Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
