Ramon Starr Obituary
Ramon L. Starr, 83, of rural Forest, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital with his wife of 49 years, Dianna (Steinman) Starr, at his side.
They have a blended family, Scott Sampson of Bluffton and Jenna Cameron of Dublin, Ohio, two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, and Cindy (Starr) Walker of Rogers, Arkansas, Jeff Starr of Gentry, Arkansas, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his twin sister, Kay Johns of Millbury; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Francis "Jake" and Virginia (Lehman) Starr; brother, William Starr; sister, Sara Sheets; brothers-in-law, Bill Sheets and Reed Johns; and sister-in-law, Shirley (Howard) Dodge.
He was born Aug. 15, 1940, in Bowling Green. Ramon graduated from Webster High School in 1958. After high school, Ray joined the local National Guard unit which he was in for seven years. He attended barber college and became part owner of a shop in Fostoria. After marrying Dianna, they got their Real Estate License and that became their career in Findlay for 30 years.
He enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.

Ramon's funeral will be 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, with Pastor Jerry Kellogg officiating. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
