Phyllis Willford Obituary
Phyllis J. Willford, 91, of Findlay, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Arcadia, the daughter of the late Donald and Martha (Barkimer) Cain. She married Robert Willford Sr. on Nov. 21, 1954, and he preceded her in death June 2, 1992.
Phyllis was a sales representative for Avon for over 45 years. She attended Upper Room Church of God, Findlay. She was also active in Women's Shrine Club and was a member of Findlay Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. In 1995, she came in second in her age division in a race at Kelly's Island and loved to go to Jimmy Buffet concerts with her family.
Survivors include sons, Robert (Robin) Willford Jr. of Findlay, Bryan (Carolyn) Willford of Columbus, and Eric (Luann) Willford of Findlay; brother, John (Mary) Cain of Findlay; sister, Ruthann Wohlgamuth of Findlay; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Andel of Wellington, Ohio, and Chris Cain of New Mexico; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Charles and Clarence Cain; and brother-in-law, Richard Wohlgamuth.
Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Phyllis' funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at the funeral with Adam Willford officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Memorial contributions may be directed towards Lifeline of Ohio or Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
