Paul R. Block

Paul R. "Ron" Block, 84, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. He was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Francis and Mary (Mix) Block. He married Sheila (Jones) Block on Feb. 20, 1960, and she survives in Findlay.

Paul was employed at Guardian Industries for 35 years in Detroit, Michigan, and Upper Sandusky. He retired in 2000 and he and his wife moved to Lecanto, Florida, and in 2014, they moved to Findlay.

Paul was a sports fan, especially Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He also played golf as often as possible.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Block; daughter, Monica (Jon) Walton; son, Daniel (Alecia) Block; brothers, Gregory Block and Michael (Julie) Block; grandchildren, Spencer (Melissa) Walton, Lucas (Tatiana) Walton, Sydney Walton, Hannah Block, Emily Block; stepgrandchildren, Brendan Burke and Lauren Lisick; great-grandchildren, William, Aiden, Alaina, and Grace Walton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Block; and a sister-in-law, Marion Burns.

A celebration of life will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at Daniel and Alecia Block's home at 2243 Saratoga Drive, Findlay, Ohio, 45840, for friends and family.
