Patrick Scasny Obituary

Patrick J. Scasny

Patrick Joseph Scasny, 71, of Findlay, died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Bridge Care Center in Findlay.

Patrick was born May 14, 1954, to the late Michael F. and Dorothy L. (Brink) Scasny in Japan, where his father was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. On June 15, 2007, he married the love of his life, Denise Conrad. She survives in Findlay.

Also surviving are his daughters, Mindy L. Brooker of McComb and Nicole M. Brooker of Findlay; grandson, Carson D. Brooker-Thomas; brothers, Michael F. Scasny Jr., Dennis P. Scasny, Timothy J. Scasny, Rob A. Scasny, Shawn S. Scasny, and Kevin D. Scasny; sisters, Beth Shonts, Cindy L. Watson, and Becky S. Lauger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patrick attended St. Michael School from 1968, then Glenwood Jr. High from 1969. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1972, where he lettered in football. Patrick went on to BGSU to study industrial arts. He worked at Hancor/ADS as a supervisor and retired. Patrick enjoyed working on British cars, including his Triumph TR3. He also liked working on computers. He was very handy and could fix anything. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying camping and fishing. He loved cooking, playing euchre, and considered himself a beer connoisseur. Patrick also had an affinity for dogs.

But above all, he enjoyed caring for and spending as much time as possible with his grandson, who was the light of his life. Patrick was often known to spoil Carson with the largest Slurpee and whatever candy Carson wanted.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Friday until time of service. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Teddy's Rescue or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.

Shawn and family. I am so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. My mother, Mamie, enjoyed working with him at Straley's when he was in high school. She lived him dearly. Our thoughts are with you all.
