Patricia J. Meyer

Patricia J. Meyer, 92, of Leipsic, passed away at 3:43 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Leipsic, to Gregory and Irene (Weisbecker) Schwab. She married Melvin B. Meyer on Sept. 12, 1951, and he preceded her in death Aug. 17, 1999.

Patricia's survivors include five children, Steven (Karen) Meyer of Ottawa, Mark (Janet) Meyer of Leipsic, Gerald (Chris) Meyer of Ottawa, Tim (Karen) Meyer of Bellbrook, and Gina (Tracy) Place of Dublin; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Gabringer of Centerville.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Holly Ann Meyer; brother, John Schwab; sister, Bonnie (Gene) Kuhlman; and brother-in-law, Paul Gabringer.

Patricia retired as the Title Clerk for Leipsic Local Schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Altar Rosary Society, C. L. of C, and Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary. She found joy in dancing and was the former head of the Golden Steppers. In 2006, she received the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award. Patricia loved going to the casinos to gamble, playing cards and board games, and enjoyed participating in many activities at the Meadows of Leipsic.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, with Fr. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.
