Pamela Perkins Obituary

Pamela Jean (Shafer) Perkins

Pamela Jean(Shafer)Perkins, 49, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at her residence. She was born May 13, 1975, in Toledo, the daughter of Daniel Shafer, Findlay, and Katherine (Hamilton) Shafer, Rawson. Both parents survive, as does her fiancé, Jonny Miller.

Pam attended Findlay High School and nursing school, hoping to one day help as many people as she could. She always had a special place in her heart for the elderly and enjoyed spending time with them and listening to their stories. She learned sign language and taught it to her children so they could communicate with those who could not hear or speak. She held different jobs throughout her life, but her most recent was with Bob Evans, where she continued the family tradition of working at one of the Findlay locations.

Pam loved to paint, and her beautiful work will be treasured by all. Pam loved fiercely, especially her family. Nothing meant more to her than her family. Her friends and family knew her by her beautiful blue eyes, dimples, and loud mouth. Everyone knew when Pam arrived! She had a heart of gold and was able to find her person in Jon. He was there for her while she battled her illness, and she will be forever in his heart and in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever miss her and cherish the memories. She was an Ohio State fan and a Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers fan, too! She also enjoyed a NASCAR race or two.

Pam is survived by her children, Gage, Amelia (John) Smith of Findlay, Cole (Cassie) Perkins US Navy, Gracie Perkins of Findlay, and Jonna Miller; special daughters, Jessi, Tamara and Rene Miller; her siblings, Amy (Charles) Goble of Carey, Kerrie (James) Burden of Rawson and Rose (Josh) Birt of Oshawa, Ontario Canada; grandchildren, Keilan, Elijah, Jackson and Vivian; her three nephews and four nieces; five great-nephews and five great-nieces with one on the way; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who were her best friends growing up.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earl, and Lila Hamilton; paternal grandmother, Arla Naftzger; great-niece, Katherine Elaine; great-nephew, Maxton Zane; and a special daughter, Amber Miller.

A memorial gathering will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Findlay VFW Post, where folks can gather and share stories of Pam and her family with each other.
