Norma was a secretary for the Navy in Washington, D.C. before she got married and moved to Findlay in the early 1950's. There, she raised her family and worked in the Courier Newsroom until the late 1970's, when she moved to Key West, Florida, and then Baltimore, Maryland.

She loved gardening, quilting, doing puzzles, deep-sea fishing, crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay, and spending time with her family. She and Leo traveled extensively throughout the USA and Canada and spent their later years cruising through the Bahamas and Caribbean.

Funeral services will be at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be interred alongside her beloved husband, Leo.
