Nicholas Solomon Obituary
Nicholas T. Solomon, 81, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Salem, the son of the late John and Mary (Boer) Solomon. On Sept. 28, 1968, he married Mary (Bartley) Solomon, who survives in Findlay.
Survivors also include his son, Nicholas (Becky) Solomon, of Findlay; and two daughters, Deanna (Ryan) Aschemeier and Beth (Jim) Duron, both of Findlay; his seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Max and Benji Solomon, Noah and Sophie Aschemeier and Logan (Sabrina) and Griffin Duron; a brother, John (Jennifer) Solomon, of Chester, South Carolina; and a sister, Maryann Solomon, of North Carolina.
Nicholas was a United States Army veteran stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, during the Vietnam era. He was employed as an industrial manager at RCA for 25 years and at Philips Corporation for 15 years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Findlay, serving on various boards and volunteering at Christian Clearing House, Findlay.
Visitation for Nicholas will be from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. The funeral service will be private at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards Trinity Episcopal Church, or Bridge Home, Health and Hospice.

Nice was a true friend of myl late husband Joe and myself. We were neighbors at one time and stayed in touch an eventually were connected and had many fun times together especially when Nary and I shared the same birthday. Nick was a wonderful person and thought of as kind. I am so sorry Mary, that I can't make the visitation as I can no longer drive, but my kids will bring me to Findlay soon and I hope we can visit then. I will be in touch to make plans. You have my deepest sympathy and my prayers are with you and family.

Cousin Nick will be missed by so many. So many good memories visiting him and his family, going back to when his parents (my godparents) owned the Twin Pines Motel in Tiffin. I distinctly remember the day we were at the motel the day when Nick returned home from the Army. Enjoyed talking with Nick about the Browns and other Cleveland sports teams!

I will miss talking to Nick on the phone and at the Solomon/Ferezan cousins reunions. I remember with great fondness our visiting him and John in Cleveland when we were kids.
