Neil Howard Yates

Neil Howard Yates, 71, of Fostoria, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at St. Catherine's Manor, Fostoria. He was born February 7, 1954, to Forest and Eloise (Savial) Yates. He married Tomett Hayes on August 22, 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Tomett Yates; son, Trey Yates of Fostoria; daughters, Jennifer Reinhart and Jessica (Bryon) Helms, all of Fostoria; sister, Sandra (Eddie) Lichtenberger of Florida; grand-children, Jocelyn Reinhart and Riann (Braedon) Tipple; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Meyers-Reinhart and Atley Tipple.

Neil attended Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria. He was a member of United Sportsmen Club, Eagles, Moose, AMVETS and American Legion, all in Fostoria. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, gardening and yardwork. He had a love for animals, enjoyed playing cards, and was a great storyteller. Neil was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.

Private graveside services will be at Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Fostoria United Sportsmen.

Memorials can be made to Geary Family YMCA.

Local arrangements are being handled by Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.
