Neil Eugene Vermillion

Neil Eugene Vermillion, 87, of Findlay, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1936, in Hancock County, the son of Orville and Grace Marie (Parker) Vermillion.

Neil is survived by his sons, Marcus Vermillion of Findlay, Joseph (Tilda) Vermillion of Montpelier, Idaho, and Samuel (Cynthia) Vermillion of Columbus; daughter, Elberta (Tom) Bruno of Findlay; sons, Eric (Mary) Vermillion of Niota, Tennessee, and Aaron Vermillion of Findlay; 21 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Wickert of Tucson, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Marcus and Sarah; and brother, Dannie.

Neil retired from Whirlpool Corporation after many years of service as an electrician. He was also an U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed tinkering about in his home and barn, complete with cats.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, until the time of Neil's funeral at 12 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2800 Crystal Ave., Findlay. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hancock County Humane Society.

COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, will be in charge of arrangements.
