Nancy Williams Obituary

Nancy Dee Williams

Nancy Dee Williams, a beacon of love and resilience for 62 years alongside her late husband, Fredrick, peacefully passed away at the age of 94.

Nancy was born in Carey to William and Hazel Montague.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Ann Miller; children she was a caring mother to, Mark (Kathy) Williams, Joy Schade, Cindy (Scott) Sieber, and Matt (Christy) Williams; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love and family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Dotson, Charlotte Montague, Mary Ellen Lanning, and Betty Johns; and brothers, Bill Montague and Harold Evans.

Nancy enriched the lives of all who knew her through her vibrant spirit, prioritization of family and friends, passion for crafting, painting, and love of travel. Nancy was dedicated to her chosen profession of nursing. She had many jobs including Wyandot County Health Department Nurse, subbing in Dr. Van Buren's office, multiple summers as a nurse at Camp Pittenger (with her children in tow), factory nurse at Fostoria foundry, Blanchard Valley Hospital, and private caregiver. She chose to donate her body to science, embodying her lifelong commitment to health and science. A lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, she found solace and community in her faith.

Nancy's celebration of life will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church, Carey. Visitation begins at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.

The family would also like to offer a thank you to Primrose and Bridge Hospice for their love and compassion. She will be remembered for her enduring love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of others, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

I have found memories of Nancy. I remember her being our school nurse at Carey and walking to her house to where she would give us our flu shots as a child. I will always have good memories of her.

Nancy has been a part of our life for many years. My Mother was a resident at Primrose for over two years. Visited Nancy a lot when visiting my Mom. She always had a smile. The seasonal pictures she painted on the Pub wiindows at Primrose were beautiful! Always enjoyed seeing what was coming next! A wonderful loving, caring lady

I am privileged to meet Nancy at the Primrose Bible study that I facilitate. She was an inspiration and very knowledgeable. Her spunk and her always being dressed so nicely, with her jewelry was something that I looked forward to weekly. Her input will be missed. I will be keeping the family in my prayers.

I'm so blessed to have gotten to be part of Nancy's journey, even though it was at the end and I didn't have nearly enough time with her. I loved that she would come out to have her nails done! We miss her.
