Nancy L. Leatherman

Nancy L. Leatherman, of Findlay, went home to Jesus Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born July 2, 1947, in Delphos to the late Ray and Rotha Riggenbach. On March 6, 1971, she married the love of her life, Gene Leatherman, who survives in Findlay.

Nancy was a devoted mother to her two children, Jennifer (Thad) Dempster of Arlington and Michael (Teresa) Leatherman of Powell. She was also a cherished grandmother to Abby (Jake) Leonard of Arlington, Kelsey Dempster of Findlay and Vivian Leatherman of Powell; and a proud great-grandmother.

Nancy took great pride and dedication in raising her family and later enjoyed a fulfilling career at The University of Findlay, where she served as Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs from 1989 to 2007. She treasured her time at the university and the relationships she built there.

Those who know Nancy know her love for her husband, family, and her beloved dogs, Hannah and Jazzman. She found joy in being outdoors, gardening, canning, exercising, and crafting. Her family and friends will deeply miss her vibrant spirit and love for life.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. Graveside services will follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Blair Haywood officiating.

Memorials may be made to YMCA Building Fund in Findlay.
