Nancy Jo Kovacs

Nancy Jo Kovacs, 70, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

She was born Dec. 6, 1953, to Robert G. and Eleanor D. (Lynch) Momyer, who preceded her in death. Nancy married Daniel Kovacs on Aug. 21, 1976, and he survives.

She is also survived by her brothers, David Momyer of Smithton, Pennsylvania, George Momyer of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Bruce Momyer of Smithton, Pennsylvania, and Barry Momyer of Hopedale, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

She worked as a nurse aid in Ashland, Kentucky for many years before moving to Findlay, where she began working for Sky Bank. Later, she prepared taxes for Bean Counter in Findlay.

Nancy was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She also participated in various activities, such as being a Sunday School teacher and President of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Concordia. She loved crocheting and needle-pointing, was always cheerful, and willing to help others in need.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, until the time of Nancy's funeral at 11 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church. Services will be led by the Rev. David DePaoli. Burial will be at a later date at Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay.

Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Nancy's behalf.
