Mike Denney Obituary

Mike Denney

Mike Denney, 73, of Carey, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky.

Mike was born May 11, 1952, to the late William and Noreen (Walter) Denney. Mike is survived by his siblings, Jim (Maurine) Denney, Denise Denney, Tina (Dan) McQuistion, Lana Schlack, and Danny (Michelle) Denne; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike worked as a forklift operator for over 30 years, recently working for Excel Wire. Mike was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Chicago Bears, and Carey Blue Devil fan. One of Mike's most prized possessions was a signed football from the 2021 Carey State Football Championship team. Mike was a kind, loving and likable person who was always there to help anyone in a time of need. Mike touched many people; he always sent cards to people for their birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and other special dates. When sending to his family, he always signed his cards "Bro Mike ."While at Vancrest, every resident got a card, even those who didn't know Mike. Many were so appreciative of just this act of kindness that Mike showed.

A Private Celebration of Life Service for Mike will be at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made in Mike's honor to Vancrest of Upper Sandusky or Hospice of Wyandot Memorial.
