Micheal Himes Obituary

Micheal V. Himes

Michael V. "Mike" Himes, 72, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away in his sleep Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023.

Mike was born March 9, 1951, in Findlay. After graduating high school in 1969, he went to work for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. He met Angie Wells and they married in 1972 and had a son, Brian. They both remarried. In 2006, he moved to Arizona where he worked for Amazon and PetSmart.

On any given Saturday between September and November, you could find Mike in Ohio State gear rooting for the Buckeyes and spewing stats and trivia no one else knew. He looked forward to seeing his son every year and beamed with joy when he relived his visits to Ohio and time spent with Brian and Aleasha.

Mike was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. Although short on patience, which he would readily admit, he had such a big heart and loved to help those in need.

Mike is survived by his son, Brian (Aleasha); sisters, Tammy of Arizona, and Penny (Doug) Leightey, Jeanie, and Mary Frances Crains of California; and brother, Jerry (Nancy).

He was preceded in death by his mom, Marilyn; and dad, Friend Himes.

Mike's celebration of life took place in Arizona.

Mike was a great step dad to me, and an even better grandpa to my girls. I will forever miss your wise cracks(said with your best 3 stooges voice)
