Michael Smoody Obituary
Michael Smoody, 67, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1956, in Cleveland, to Charles and Betty Jane (Prince) Smoody. He married his loving wife of 43 years, Christine (Meier), on June 12, 1981, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his children, Anne (Jason) Russell, Joshua Smoody, Elizabeth (Joel Kennen) Smoody, and Rebecca (Greg) Adams; two grandchildren; two bonus grandchildren; brother, Charles Smoody; and sister, Patricia (Frazier) Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Pamela McDougall, Kevin Smoody, and David Smoody.
Michael was a 1974 graduate of Findlay High School. If you had the privilege of meeting Michael, you knew he was a classic car enthusiast, but his passion was Jesus and his family. His mission in life was to chase God and tell others of what God has done for him. Michael was a Pastor at Family of God Ministries in Cygnet and used his skills to create a ministry on wheels which he named "Importunity." He never met a stranger and made sure that if he met you, he left a lasting impression.
Michael's celebration of life will be 12 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, until the time of his funeral at 4 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael's honor may be shared with Compassion International at compassioninternational.com. Online condolences may be shared with Michael's family at coldrencrates.com.
