Michael Salsbury

Michael "Mike" Salsbury passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Toledo, the son of Joe Edward and Eileen Mae (Renfer) Salsbury. He graduated from Arlington High School and was the vice president of his senior class of 1973.

Mike married Pamela Jo (Frantz) Salsbury on Aug. 9, 1974. They cherished 50 years together and were blessed with a daughter, Chere J. (Joseph D.) Lamb of Findlay, grandson, Joseph Michael Lamb, and stepgranddaughter, Kelsi Lynn. Mike is survived by his brothers, Ron (Kathy) Salsbury of Texas, John Salsbury of Findlay, and Jeff (Nancy) Salsbury of Texas; sister, Sally Salsbury of Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clarence "Cuff" Salsbury.

Mike loved speding time with his family, taking them to countless Cincinnati Reds games, Ohio State football and basketball games, trips to Kings Island, and weekend get-aways. He loved watching sports, coaching young miss softball for years, as well as men's softball when he was younger, and playing golf. He worked very hard for his family. He was a supervisor at Greenline for 18 years and previously worked in the meat department at Sur-Sav in Findlay where he made lifelong friends. His joy, laughter, and smile were contagious. He also enjoyed grilling and listening to old Motown music and gospel. He attended church on a regular basis and will be greatly missed by many.

Many thanks to the many family members, friends old and new, neighbors who all visited, and coworkers from Campbell's s Soup in Napoleon for their support. Also thanks to Putnam County Hospice nurses and aides and Mercy Hospital for their care.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, until the time of Mike's funeral at 1 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Pastor Gene Salsbury will officiate.
