Michael Gerdeman Obituary

Michael P. Gerdeman

Michael P. "Mike" Gerdeman, 65, of Perrysburg, died at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at Perrysburg Mercy Hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1959, in Bowling Green, to William "Bunk" and Nancy (Gardner) Gerdeman.

Mike is survived by his son, Andrew (Meghan) Gerdeman of Washington Township, New Jersey; mother, Nancy Gerdeman of North Baltimore; brothers, Gregory (Linda) Gerdeman of Brandon, Florida, and Timothy Gerdeman of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Susan (Jerry) Brim of North Baltimore and Ann (Nelson) Smith of Lynnwood, Washington; and beloved grandchildren, Molly, Michael, and James.

He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bunk" Gerdeman.

Mike was a graduate of North Baltimore High School and worked many years with Sun Oil Company and retired with Toledo Refining Company. Mike made friends everywhere he went and was loved by everyone he encountered. He had a smile that would light up an entire room when he walked in and was always the center of attention. Mike was an avid Ohio State football and Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Mike's son, Andy, was his pride and joy and his best friend. They were inseparable. The pride Mike felt in watching his son serve our great country and later go on to be a police officer was immeasurable. He was the most loving Papa to his grandchildren, Molly, Mikey, and James, who he absolutely adored. Mike loved having Sunday coffee with his mother, Nancy, and looked forward to it every week. He loved his brothers and sisters more than anyone would know. Mike will be dearly missed.

All services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Donations in his memory can be made to Tunnels To Towers.

I´m truly sorry for your loss. Mike was a great man. I had the pleasure of cutting his hair for awhile, and he always talked about his family and camping. He´s going to be missed very much.
