Michael "Mike" Lee Brown

Michael "Mike" Lee Brown, 70, formerly of Findlay, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at home in Bradenton, Florida, surrounded by his beloved family.

Mike was born July 17, 1952, in Findlay, to Shirley (Brown) Plontz and the late Edgar (Sonny) Brown. Mike was a 1970 graduate of Findlay High School and previously worked at Harris Corporation (RCA).

Mike is survived by his mother and stepfather, Robert Plontz of Deming, New Mexico; devoted and beloved wife of 51 years, Evelyn (Stuber) Brown; two daughters, Christina (Brown) Allen, and her husband, Rick, of Findlay and Cheryl (Brown) Majka, and her husband, Joseph, of Palmetto, Florida; five grandchildren, Dustin Montgomery (Samantha) of Findlay, Ashley Wagner of Bradenton, Florida, Katie Benjamin (Joey) of Findlay, Alyssa Brown of Bradenton, Florida, and Joseph Fairbrother of Palmetto, Florida; five great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Mayleigh, Cohen, Ryker, and Greyson; sister, Michelle (Brown) Essinger, of Findlay; and numerous other family members.

His family was the light of his life and he will be deeply missed by many.

Mike and Evelyn married Dec. 5, 1970, and remained married and inseparable for the rest of his life. Mike shared a deep passion for the blue waters of Florida, traveling, motorcycling, and fishing with his devoted wife, Evelyn (Evie). They enjoyed life to the fullest side by side.

Mike enjoyed a great passion for music. His extensive musical background led him to help form one of Findlay's most beloved garage bands, "The Mixed Emotions," where he played bass, keyboards, and occasionally sang vocals.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in Bradenton, Florida, and an additional celebration of life will be in Findlay on a date and time to be announced.

Donations can be made to any local Moffitt Cancer Center or Tidewell Hospice.
