Mary House

Mary Ellen House, 75, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at 10:19 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born May 21, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Joseph House and Katherine Dilodovico.

Mary is survived by a brother, Dominick Dilodovico of Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania; daughters, Susan (Noel) Schuck, Sharon (Tim) Billman, and Samantha (Brad) Fry; grandchildren, Taylor (Nic) Puchta, Trent Frazier, Quinn Fry, Ava Fry, Tyler Billman, Megan Johnson, Justin Johnson, and Abbie Billman; great-grandchildren, Leighton Facemire, Colton Johnston, Owen Johnston, and Grayson Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph House; mother, Katherine Dilodovico; brothers, Rick House and Steve House; sister, Diane Cooke; son, Michael Silverstein; and grandson, Larry Facemire.

Mary was a fighter. In June, 1983, she suffered a traumatic brain injury from an auto accident. She was hospitalized for nine months and in a coma for four-and-a-half months. She overcame many obstacles having to learn how to talk, walk, and do everything one-handed because she was paralyzed on her right side. Mary loved to cook and even did videos for the rehab hospital to help teach others to de-bone chicken and to make her amazing cream puffs everyone loved. Mary was an avid weight watcher and even did lectures prior to her accident. She loved to read, play on her grandpad, and listen to classical music. For 39 years, Mary fought a hard fight. There is comfort now knowing she is no longer in pain and with our savior, Jesus.

A private graveside service will be at Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.

Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
