Mary L. Hoffman

Mary L. Hoffman, 78, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

She was born Sept. 29, 1946, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, to Donald and Evelyn (Murphy) Barber. She married Dale Hoffman on Oct. 8, 1972, and he survives in Findlay.

Mary is also survived by her son, Kevin Hoffman; sister, Carolyn (John) Roller; nieces, Pam (Randy) Schmidt and Melissa (Scott) Greenwood; and great-nephews, Matthias, Myles, and Micah Schmidt, and Devon and Trevor Greenwood.

Mary graduated from Huntingdon Area High School in 1964. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Findlay, where she was an alto in the church choir. She was also a member of Huntingdon 12th Street United Methodist Church, where she worked with the children's department. She was an avid follower of Fox News. In her free time, Mary enjoyed word search puzzles, reading the Bible, and knitting and crocheting. She dearly loved her family and friends and enjoyed making countless dozens of Christmas cookies for them, as well as always making her breakfast casserole and homemade biscuits for visiting family members. Mary loved supporting her family in anyway possible, especially traveling with Dale to watch their great-nephew, Myles, play soccer. She also loved to watch Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, until the time of Mary's funeral at 6 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Cutright Funeral Home, 313 Fairgrounds Rd., Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, 16652. Burial will follow at Cherry Groves Cemetery in Three Springs, Pennsylvania.
