Mary Jo Hanna

Mary Jo Hanna, 90, of Benton Ridge died at 6:58 pm Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Bradner, Ohio, to Charles and Marian (Wright) Krawetzke. On April 25, 1954, she married Charles F. Hanna Jr. and he survives.

Also surviving are sons, Robert (Marge) Hanna of Weston and James Hanna of Bluffton; daughters, Bonnie (Gary) Meeks of Benton Ridge, and Karen (Michael) Powell of Findlay; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Krawetzke of Bradner; sisters, Diane Hagemeyer of Alabaster, Alabama, and Lucille (Robert) Tyson of Risingsun, Ohio.

Mary Jo attended Bowling Green State University for 3 1/2 years after graduating from Bradner High School and worked for many years at Hancock County Auditors Office, was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Benton Ridge and Tawa Senior Citizens Club. She loved camping at Indian Lake and had been on mission trips to Alaska, Honduras, and Wyoming.

The family would like to thank a special family friend, Shari Schoonover for all her support of Mary Jo as well as a thank you to Bridge Hospice Nurses.

Mary Jo's visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Richard Hildebrand will officiate and interment will follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
