Martha J. Stoner

Martha J. Stoner, 103, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at Taylor Place, Findlay.

She was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Findlay, the daughter of the late Ray and Edith (Jones) Long. She married Carl L. Stoner on Oct. 15, 1938, and he preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1977.

Martha's survivors include her son, Michael Stoner of Findlay; daughter, Karen (John) Givens of Findlay; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two very helpful nieces, Iola Rettig and Pat Kester, both of Findlay.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ralph Long; sisters, Mildred Roberts and Mabel Casteel; and daughter-in-law, Kay Marie Stoner.

Martha was a life member of First Christian Church, Findlay, where she was in the Dorcas Circle and was a greeter. She was also involved at Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary for 22 years, Twig 23, and was an inspector at R.C.A. Factory. She was also was a homemaker and owned an embroidery business for 40 years doing school letterman jackets and bowling shirts into her 80s.

Martha's graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, with Pastor Joel Johnson officiating.
