Marlene E. Rose

Marlene E. Rose, 90, of Cygnet, died at 10:29 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore. She was born October 8, 1935, to the late Francis and Mary (Arnold) Slee. She married Donald J. Rose, July 11, 1955, and he preceded her in death September 22, 2002.

Marlene and Don had three sons: Michael (Sally of Cygnet)Rose (deceased), Steven (Sue) Rose of North Baltimore, and Don (Kim) Rose of Bowling Green; sister, Mary Fraley of Pemberville; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Slee and sister, Cheryl Cremean.

Marlene retired from the custodial department at Bowling Green State University and Elmwood Schools, where she was a bus driver and cook. She had been a member of Eastern Star and Red Hat Society.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be two hours prior to service. Burial will be at Portage Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Robinson is officiating.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to North Baltimore Public Library.
