Marilyn Sue Lemons

Marilyn Sue Lemons, 81, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

She was born June 15, 1941, in Findlay, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marjorie (Downing) Porter. She married Cecil "Gene" Lemons on March 11, 1960, and he preceded her in death March 16, 2012.

Marilyn's survivors include her daughters, Lori (Don) York and Sheri (Tom) Jordan, both of Findlay; five grandchildren, Matthew York, Chad (Clara) York, and Leslie (Joseph) O' Toole, Anthony Jordan, and Jessica (Tim) Wills; great-grandchildren, Cowan York and Arya Jordan; brother, Charles (Dolly) Porter of Findlay; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Jeanette Haag.

Marilyn was formerly employed at Marathon Oil Company, serving for over 30 years and at Key Bank for over 15 years. She enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams like Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes, as well as college basketball. She enjoyed listening to Liberty-Benton Eagles football games on the radio and being with her dog, Bentley. She loved spending time with her family and most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Marilyn's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
