Marilyn Diller Obituary
Marilyn June Diller, 93, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Elida, to Cecil and Fenella (Habegger) Flick. She married Cleo Diller on Feb. 24, 1951, and he preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1984.
Marilyn graduated from Mt. Cory High School in 1949 and attended Northwestern School of Commerce and Lima Technical College. She was a dietician at Hilty Memorial Home and Richland Manor Nursing Home. Marilyn was a life member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, and was also a member of Allen County Farm Bureau. She was a former Girl Scout leader and enjoyed needlework, gardening, and traveling.
Marilyn's survivors include three children, Debra (Mike) Byers of Ligonier, Indiana, Larry (Judy) Diller of Bluffton, and Vickie (Kim) Stechschulte of Versailles, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Kerrie (Jeb) Castelo, Stacey (Troy) Garrett, Curtis (Sandy) Diller, Jason (Abby) Diller, Matthew Diller, Katrina (Lorenzo) Flores, Kirk (Sarah) Stechschulte, Chad (Leah) Stechschulte, and Laura (Peter Bilan) Cochran; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Julia Marie Diller; and brother, Robert Flick.
Marilyn's services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastor Carrie Mast will officiate. Burial will be at Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Mennonite Church.
