She was born March 12, 1939, in rural Arlington, to Ralph and Alma (Hauman) Davis. She married Robert Bennett on March 14, 1959, and he survives.

She was a member of Mt Blanchard United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the Women's Bible Study, Adult Sunday School Class, preparing and serving food at funeral dinners, working the church bazaars, and singing in the choir. She crocheted prayer shawls for nursing homes and made blankets for the children at Blanchard Valley School and mittens for babies in the special care nursery at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
