Maria C. Vasquez

Maria C. Vasquez, 95, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at 5:32 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born July 16, 1928, in Lockhart, Texas, to Lazaro and Emerenciana (Martinez) Vasquez.

Maria is survived by eight children, Mary Sosa of San Antonio, Texas, Mamie (Richard) Dudley, Lazaro (Serafina) Loredo, and Robert Loredo, all of Toledo, Delia (Guadalupe) Villalobos of Richmond, Texas, Diane (Manuel) Salinas of San Antonio, Texas, Ernest Loredo of Toledo, and Paul Loredo of Findlay; 33 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anastacio Loredo; daughter, Florence Wong; two sons-in-law, James Wong and Alfredo Sosa; two brothers, Ernesto and Arturo Vasquez; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Maria retired from Community Action Commission, Findlay. She was a devout Catholic and member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed music and dancing. Maria was a people person and never knew a stranger. She loved spending time with her family, especially joking around with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be 9-10:45 a.m. Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
