Linda S. McGuire

Linda S. McGuire, 74, of Jerry City, passed away at 6:14 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.

She was born Sept. 3, 1948, in Findlay, to the late Phillip and Margarite (Beaubain) Seibert. She married Lewis McGuire and they have been married for 55 years. He survives in Jerry City.

Linda is also survived by her daughters, Amy Nesler of Jerry City and Dawn McGuire of Bairdstown; six grandchildren, Amber (Donald) Eddington, Aaron Nesler, Ashley Mitchell, Adrian (Nicole) Mitchell, William Griffith IV, and Wade Griffith; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Phillip (Patricia) Seibert of Winter Springs, Florida, John (Phyllis) Seibert of Kodak, Tennessee, David Seibert of Fostoria, Dale Seibert of Winter Springs, Florida, Barbara Swope of Toledo, Betty McCartney of North Baltimore, Mary Yates of New Carlisle, Julia Matzinger of Winter Springs, Florida, Thelma Bankey of Melbourne, Florida, and Theresa (Paul) Preston of Jerry City.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Seibert, Richard Seibert, and Donald Seibert.

Linda graduated from Elmwood High School in 1966. She retired from Equity Meats in North Baltimore after 30 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore, and formerly Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cygnet. Linda was State Secretary of the Ohio Child Conservation League and president of the local chapter Bibs to Beaus. She enjoyed quilting with Prarie Depot Quilters. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends. She made life-long friends from camping at Indian Lake, quilting, and her Lunch Ladies Luncheons, and even befriended Earnie the campground dog.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore, with Father Tom McQuillen as celebrant. Burial will be at Jerry City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where a time of remembrance service will be at 3:30 p.m.
