I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to LeEddie´s family. He was a science teacher at Donnell. He made learning fun as well as being a fun teacher and coach.
My parents and his parents were great friends. I remember he painted with Jerry Snodgrass in the summers.
LeEddie´s was always full of love and joy and had a great zest for life. The world lost a great man who will never be forgotten.
In Deep Sorrow,
Luke Edelbrock

I posted myself as family, which technically isn´t t so, but the Smiths have always been like family to the Kuhlmans. We are so very sad to hear about LeeEddy. May the peace of the Lord be with you all as you grieve the loss of such a great man.

It is so obvious from reading the messages that we all just loved this man! Les´s fishing buddy ...lots of stories there; Mary´s friend & fellow teacher...so much fun to work with! He was true grit, no pretense, just a love of science that others could not match. Legendary!
Prayers for Cindy and the family

LeEddiie was my favorite teacher out of all 13 years of school. He made it fun and interesting. And wasn´t bad to look at either! Meeting up with him years later at the WET was a great way to keep in touch with him. He was a wonderful human being and will be missed by all who knew him!

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Smith. I too was in his first Science Class at Donnell, and he instilled in me a great interest in everything Scientific. I loved his outdoor adventures...sorry to have missed the Telescope experience, but we had a blast at Camp Berry when he gave me motorcycle rides. Best fun was in the classroom...lots of laughs and much learning about more than just science. Who remembers Paul Tygard pulling out his laughing skull in the middle of a lecture? Mr. Smith wrote in my yearbook that I was the coolest dresser in school ! That made a big difference in how I saw myself. I will miss you LeEddie.

I was in LeEddie's first biology class after he got out of college. And shared a passion all things wild in the outdoors as well as bowhunting and outdoor conservation. Amazing teacher and man. Rest in paradise brother.

So sorry to hear. LeEddie was a one-of-a-kind teacher. He showed great loyalty to his friends, and his good nature was always welcome.
Who else could convince bunch of his students and their parents to get up at 3 am on a Saturday to venture to the Findlay Reservoir to view plants through big telescope. Good Guy!

LeEddie was one of the BEST teachers I had at Donnell. My husband and I enjoyed stopping by his house to catch up every time we saw him outside. His legacy will live on in all of us that had the privilege to know him.

Mr. Smith was one of the very best teachers you could ever have. He succeeded in making you love science. I´ll never forget the class being at the reservoir with him and his telescope. He wanted you to question things and learn. It is somewhat hard to do him justice trying to pay tribute to his excellence as a teacher. RIP Mr. Smith. I believe your memory will live for a very long time with all the kids who had the privilege to be in your classroom.

Dear Cindy and Family, I was so honored to pray with LeEddie, your husband, your father, before he passed. He got his complete and total healing from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, from fingertip to fingertip. Every cell of his body lined up according to the way His Creator and Father intended as he passed from this world into the next. He will be missed, but what a legacy he has left behind. Cindy, if there's anything you need, you have my number. Love you sister in Christ.
