Larry L. Leckey

Larry L. Leckey, 72, of Findlay, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born Aug. 4, 1950, the son of Albert Jr. and Ruby Glenna (Troiano) Leckey. He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Wetherholt, on May 24, 1969, and they enjoyed 54 years together.

Larry's survivors include his wife, Marilyn Leckey of Findlay; son, Brian (Cheryl) Leckey of Findlay; grandsons, Gage (Riley) Leckey of Toledo and Brady Leckey of Findlay; brothers, Mark (Janet) Leckey of Findlay, Dave Leckey of Vermont, and Bruce (Candy) Leckey of Florida; sisters, Lynnette (John) Griffith of Van Buren and Laura Dietelbach of Findlay; and mother, Ruby Glenna Leckey of Findlay.

Larry was preceded in death by his father.

Larry was a 1968 graduate of Van Buren High School and was a supervisor at Ball Metal Factory in Findlay, retiring after 33 years of service. He was a firefighter with Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and enjoyed camping at Lucy's 22 with his son and family for 28 years. Larry also enjoyed fishing, boating, and wintering in Florida.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Larry's funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will follow at Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren.
