Kurtis Lee Cook

Kurtis Lee Cook,62, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born June 23, 1963, in Fostoria, to Roland and LaDonna (Myers) Cook. He married Patty Hartman, they had two children and later divorced.

He is survived by son, Joshua (Brittnay Durant) Cook; daughter, Megan (Donald) Kimble, both of Fostoria; brother, Kaland (Kathleen) Cook of Pleasant Hill; sisters, Kathy Babb of Fostoria and Karen (Jerry Boyer) Cook of Perrysburg; seven grandchildren, Brayden, Hunter, Gannon, Serenity, Kenzi, Paisleigh, and Shyloh; seven nieces and nephews; 26 great-nieces and nephews; 31 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Kurtis is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and LaDonna Cook; grandparents, Floyd and Iva Myers, and Howard and Mary Carolyn Cook.

Kurtis started his career at age 16 at White Front in Fostoria, but also worked at Great Scot as a meat cutter and manager with a journeyman card. He was an excellent cook and shared with everyone. He enjoyed hunting coon and deer, also gardening and raising wildlife. Kurtis was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and was a 1982 graduate of Arcadia High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Ben Wallick officiating. Burial will be private at a later date at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the funeral home.
