Kevin McDonald

Kevin Lee McDonald, 71, of Rawson, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 25, after a three-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Kevin was born January 31, 1954, to the late Robert and W. Katharyne (Price) McDonald. He married his childhood sweetheart, Debra Bower November 22, 1986.

Surviving is a brother, Dr. Rev. Thomas (Patricia) McDonald, Leipsic; three stepchildren, Mark (Jenny) Wellington, Findlay, Adam (Jessica) Wellington, Rawson, Stacey (Jeff) Wolfson, Marietta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Kansas, Breanna, Madison, McKenzie, Mallory, River, Vivien, and Ivy; and two great-grandchildren, Kai and Brynlee.

Kevin worked at Hercules Tire for 20 years, then left to open his own business, Rawson Radiator. He became an electrician with Local 8, then moved on to work for and retire from Kresser Plumbing and Heating.

Kevin's hobbies included: go-kart racing and motorcycles. He loved drag car racing, but his favorite was flying. He obtained his pilot's license in 1992 and has been in the air ever since. He loved spending time with his family and friends, working on projects, or just having cookouts and talking with each other. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Per Kevin's wishes, there will be a celebration of life at the Church of the Great Peace, 15244 Township Road 205, Findlay, August 2, 2025, at 11 am. There will be fellowship one hour prior, from 10-11 a.m. Casual dress.

COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME has been entrusted to handle arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
