Kenneth Reed Obituary
Kenneth D. "Kenny" Reed, 45, of Findlay, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022.
Kenny was born Feb. 14, 1977, in Lima, Ohio, to Kenneth R. and Mary J. (Boutwell) Reed. He married Sunshine Costilla on April 24, 2018.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Sunshine Reed of Findlay; mother, Delores Reed of Forest; mother, Mary J. Reed of Ada; sister, Tiffany (Nick) Henige of Columbus Grove; sister, Clarissa (Nathan) McCloud of Forest; three daughters, Abbey of Ontario, Ohio, Alexia of Findlay, and Addison of Findlay; four stepchildren, Amia of Fostoria, Destiny of Findlay, Juan 'JJ' III of Findlay, and Issac Gonzalez of Findlay; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Reed; and grandparents, Melvin 'Jack' and Lois 'Jean' (Marshall) Boutwell, Elvin Reed, Betty (Rhoden) Reed, and Ralph and Margaret (Higgins) Luzader.
Kenny was a 1996 graduate of Vanlue High School and then served in U.S. Navy from 1996-2000. He was employed at Hanon Systems, Carey, as a Press Tech. Kenny was known by many for his kindness, having a big heart, and for being a voice of reason. He adored his children and favorite pastime was spending time with his family. Kenny had a love of all food especially anything spicy and trips to Panda Express with his family were a must. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay St., Carey. Kenny's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at the funeral home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Juan Salinas will officiate and burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
