Keith James Talbert

Deacon Keith James Talbert, 67, of Findlay, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:59 a.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. He was born July 19, 1957, in Cleveland to the late Richard C. and Claire Anne (Brobst) Talbert.

Keith married Karen (Cole) Peters on November 1, 1998 and she survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, John (Barb) Peters of Arcadia and Joshua (Tonia) Peters of Arcadia; a brother, Scott (Terri) Talbert of Hilliard; a sister, Allyson (Brett) May of Fairview Park; and nine stepgrandchildren, Kaitlynn, Jocelyn, Christian, Emily and Billy Peters, Fred Vazquez, Sylvia (Quinton) Downs, Jasmine (Dominic) Bowser and Desiree Peters.

Keith held dear to his heart St. Michael Parish and Prayer Group friends who met nearly every week.

Keith attended Miami University in Ohio where he received a bachelor of science degree. He went on to attain a master's degree in theology from Catholic Distance University (CDU). He worked as a project manager for Marathon Petroleum Company where he retired in January 2018. Keith was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay, where he served as a deacon since 2013.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30-7 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio 45840, with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Adam Hertzfeld officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Keith's name to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay.

Keith and Karen and I attended Lay Ministry classes together. In 2013 Keith was ordained a Permanent Deacon along with 16 other men. I have many fond memories of our time together. May he rest in peace and enter the beatific vision to meet his Lord and Savior, JESUS Christ!
