Keith Alton Jackson

Keith Alton Jackson, 97, of rural Findlay, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by his devoted and loving family at the Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Keith was born November 11, 1928, on the family farm near Benton Ridge as the son of L. Merritt and Hazel (Oberholtzer) Jackson. Keith was a 1946 graduate of Liberty High School who then attended The Ohio State University. Uncle Sam then called Keith to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

After returning home, friends told him about a girl he didn't know. Out of the blue, Keith called, got that date with Mary Jane Light, and they were married June 13, 1954, for 71 wonderful years. The marriage was blessed with two children, Debra Jackson and Timothy (Joyce) Jackson, both of rural Findlay. Keith has two grandchildren, Jayme (Rob) Barone of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Evan (Kari) Jackson of rural Findlay and eight great-grandchildren, Liam Barone, Gavin Barone, Colin Barone, Greta Barone, Caroline Jackson, Leah Jackson, Fritz Jackson and Wells Jackson.

Keith had three sisters precede him in death Miriam Coddington, Phyllis Sturges, and Mary Lois Neal Bradley.

Keith was a lifelong, highly involved member of Good Shepherd Church of Benton Ridge. Keith served 28 years as Blanchard Township Clerk, a past member of Blanchard Township Fire Department, a past board member of Benton Ridge Telephone Company, and a past board member of Findlay Youth for Christ. Keith was a retired farmer, the 5th generation on their family farm, who worked alongside his son and grandson, ushering in the 7th generationof the farm. He was elected to the Hancock County Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Visitation for Keith will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME Findlay. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Hiltibran officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
