Kathryn Bair Obituary

Kathryn M. Kay Bair

Kathryn "Kay" Mae (Wilson) Bair went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Kay was born in Toledo, February 28, 1928, to the late Augusta (Brinkman) and Lenzy Wilson. She was the youngest of four children. Her siblings, Josephine Lybarger, Don Wilson, and Marguerite Kistler, all preceded her in death.

Kay graduated from Findlay High School in 1946 and worked at Cooper Service, San-A-Pure Dairy, and Garwood. Kay met the love of her life, Edwin Laverne Bair, and they were married May 26, 1952. They were married for 63 years before Ed passed November 21, 2014.

Together, they had two daughters, Debra Ann Lishawa (Jeff Lishawa, deceased) and Pamela Ellen Zimmerly (Doug Zimmerly, deceased). Also suviving are her grandchildren, Chad LIshawa, Tristen (Scott) Conrad, Kathryn (Bill) Gruenemeyer, and Kelsey Zimmerly; great-grandchildren, Christian Conrad, Isabella Conrad, Landen Conrad, and Tyler Gruenemeyer.

Kay was a homemaker and loved taking care of their girls. The family enjoyed educational vacations together, then later spent time at their cottage in Michigan. After the girls got married, Kay spent time caring for her grandchildren. Kay was all about family and loved spending time loving on them all. Blessed with good health, Kay enjoyed 97 years here and will be missed dearly.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Elara Caring Hospice, particularly nurse Brenda, who gently handled their mother's needs during her last days, and the staff at The Heritage Nursing Home, who took wonderful care of her for four years.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. Funeral services will be conducted at the conclusion of visitation at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to either Elara Caring Hospice Foundation at 3425 Executive Parkway, Suite 206, Toledo, Ohio 43606 or Hancock County Park District.
